Lawsuit Alleges Sexual Misconduct and a Hostile Work Environment at Fox Sports
Over the past decade, women have filed numerous civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault, abuse, or harassment against professional athletes. A notable example is Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, who settled multiple lawsuits brought by women accusing him of sexual misconduct.
In a similar vein, media outlets have reportedly reached settlements and nondisclosure agreements with women who allege sexual misconduct by on-air television personalities or executives. Instances include NBC News and Matt Lauer, as well as Gretchen Carlson’s $20 million settlement with Fox News after she claimed Roger Ailes sabotaged her career in retaliation for her refusal of his sexual advances and for raising complaints about sexual harassment.
A recently filed lawsuit alleges sexual battery and a hostile work environment within the sports media industry.
Noushin Faraji has brought a lawsuit against Fox Corporation, several Fox Sports subsidiaries, Charlie Dixon, Skip Bayless, Joy Taylor, and others.
Faraji’s complaint states that she worked at Fox as a hairstylist from approximately 2012 until August 2024.
Some of the significant allegations in the complaint include:

- Charlie Dixon, Executive Vice President of Content for FS1, gave Joy Taylor an on-air spot on “Undisputed” (a television show featuring former NFL player Shannon Sharpe and sports columnist Skip Bayless) because Taylor had sex with him.

- Dixon reportedly groped Faraji at Taylor’s birthday party. When Faraji told Taylor about the incident, Taylor allegedly told Faraji to “get over it,” stating that Faraji only had a job because Taylor requested her and that Dixon could take the job away.

- Dixon would allegedly not renew a female talent member’s contract unless she agreed to have sex with him.

- Bayless allegedly made inappropriate advances toward Faraji, even offering her $1.5 million to sleep with him. When Faraji declined and mentioned his wife, Bayless reportedly responded, “Aren’t you Muslim? Doesn’t your dad have three to four wives?”

- Taylor allegedly told Faraji that when she gained enough power within the company, she would report that Dixon had forced himself on her.
